Receiving Lead - Nanaimo

This Lead role contributes to the customer experience by supporting the back of house operations and flow of product from receiving to placement on floor and replenishment. Supporting the store & leadership team with driving sales and other key metrics, contributing to overall store operations as needed.

Core Responsibilities:

• Receiving of all incoming shipments, including unloading trucks, unpacking, pricing, and verifying shipments against invoices and purchase orders, noting any damages or shortages.
• Supporting timely execution of product placement and other visual priorities on the sales floor
• Keeping the back of house physical space clean and organized to ensure product is easy to find for restocking
• Assisting with exterior site maintenance as needed

• A solid understanding on how this process impacts business and how to prioritize product flow and replenishment accordingly
• Exceptional organizational skills & the ability to effectively plan physical space, time, and labour with an attention to detail
• A team outlook with the ability to work well with other members of the team
• You “get” the importance of strong and effective communication
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends, and holidays as seasonal peaks require, including store opening and closing responsibilities
• This position requires extended periods of walking and standing, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting with exposure to various weather conditions and environments
• Valid Forklift certification or willingness to go through our in-house training program

This is a full-time position; compensation $22-25/hour
