• 40% of the nitrogen is supplied by long lasting, controlled release Polymer Coated Urea for even feeding to the seed as it germinates, and to turf as it starts to grow.

DIRECTIONS

• Apply GARDENWORKS Lawn Starter Food 13-26-6 to your soil prior to seeding or laying turf
• Apply in late spring or early fall at the rate of 2kg per 100m² (4lb per 1,075 ft²).
• A second application of Lawn Starter Food can be made after three mowings.
• Measure the area to be seeded or sodded (Area= length x width).
• For a larger or irregularly shaped property, divide the area into smaller sections of ease of applying the fertilizer.
• Using 2.5kg/100m² (or 5lb per 1,075 ft²) fill your fertilizer spreader with the required amount of product. So, if your lawn area is 200m², use approximately 1/2 of this bag of fertilizer. Apply carefully, under apply rather than over apply. You can always apply more later.
• Distribute fertilizer evenly over the area to be seeded or sodded and work into a depth of about 10cm (4 inches).
• Spread back & forth in one direction at right angles to the first half. This provides more even coverage of fertilizer over your lawn.
• Water in thoroughly for at least 20 minutes
